I.E.Today
I.E.Today serves I.E.Canada members in many ways:
I.E. Activities
This section provides information on upcoming I.E.Canada events, both national and regional: Early warning of the dates for events, details of the specific programs and links to registration, and alerts to deadlines for registration and hotel discounts.
Advocacy: We Need Your Input
Through its committees and other connections to government agencies, I.E.Canada raises concerns members have with the policies and regulations that affect their businesses. In this section, and on the website at www.iecanada.com/input.html, I.E.Canada seeks input on these issues from the membership at large. The results of I.E.Canada advocacy initiatives are reported in Tradeweek, and at I.E.Canada conferences.
News of the Day
I.E.Canada scans newswire services, press releases, international newspapers, industry journals and websites, and even blogs, to gather timely articles on issues that may affect members’ businesses. These articles range from brief announcements of strikes and rate hikes, or freight statistics, to longer articles on economic and legal analysis, or international trade commentary. These articles are listed by region: first Canada, then USA, then Latin America, Europe and Asia, followed by international topics such as WTO, technical announcements from CFIA and other agencies, and occasionally a “lighter side” article. Special news subsections are Customs, covering announcements from CBSA and CBP and comment relating to their customs initiatives, and New Publications.
(Members are encouraged to forward any pertinent article to colleagues and clients – please acknowledge the role of I.E.Canada in alerting you to it!)
Industry Events
I.E.Canada offers this section for members to promote their trade-related events to the wider membership.
